We are proud to offer a pristine, two-owner example of the sought-after E39 M5 for sale through Timeless by Davis Automotive Group. This example is from the 2000 model year (10/25/99 production date), and as it sits has only 38,903 miles. The color combination, Royal Red/Caramel Heritage Extended Leather/Bruyere Wood Trim, is extremely rare - the car is 1/45 produced worldwide with said combination (out of a total of 10,000 E39 M5s produced).
EXTERIOR: The exterior of the car is in excellent cosmetic condition. The paint is in great shape, with no fading or clear coat damage whatsoever. The headlights and taillights are proper pre-LCI units, and have zero clouding or condensation buildup. The wheels all sport the original "shadow" finish and look great.
INTERIOR: There are no tears, rips, cracks, or any major signs of wear on any of the seats, buttons, or switchgear (the cupholders even work!). With the extended leather, there is leather covering pretty much every surface (upper/lower dash, door panels, center console, and glove box are stitched leather). The leather is completely free from any stretching, cracks, or fading. The Alcantara headliner is perfect and is free of any tears and is not sagging whatsoever. The instrument cluster is free from any missing pixels, as it was replaced under warranty during the first owner's ownership (due to this fact, it is an LCI gauge cluster and has the gray faces vs. the OEM black for the 2000 MY M5s). The only aftermarket component on the car is the Dynavin N6 head unit. It has an OEM appearance, and looks like the later widescreen navigation units in the LCI car. It is a nice improvement over the ancient OEM setup (including a backup camera). The proper 4:3 OEM navigation screen will be provided with the car should the next owner want to return the car to its original state.
MECHANICAL: The car has been subjected to a full inspection by BMW Cleveland and we found no mechanical issues at the time of this posting. The vehicle had a worn driver's door rubber molding that was replaced. The S62 V8 pulls very strong and sounds great. There are no knocking sounds from the suspension whatsoever. We have had the car up on a lift and can confirm there is zero rust or corrosion. The car is 100% stock.
This is truly an excellent, collector-grade example of the E39 M5, and it is no secret that they are becoming more and more difficult to find. This car turns heads, and must be seen in person and driven to fully appreciate!
